Hendon is a cosmopolitan, multicultural area that benefits from a relaxed pace of life and a wide range of attractive amenities. Transport connections are excellent, with the M1 nearby, along with having easy access to central London along the Northern Line.
Thanks to its diverse population, Hendon has some of the best restaurants in northern London, while its popularity with families ensures there is a good selection of schools. While Hendon property prices have done well over the last few years, the area still represents a good-value option for renting or buying when compared against other parts of London. Hendon is famous nationwide for being the location of the Metropolitan Police College and is also home of the Middlesex University Campus.
Culture & Development:
Saracens FC, the top-flight Rugby Union Premiership club is much admired for its work with the community, they are based at Allianz Park, part of Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre, north of the Great North Road.
The leisure centre has three swimming pools and a diving facility and trains some of the best swimmers in the country. Hendon Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Ashley Walk.
There are two local museums — the RAF Museum in Grahame Park Way and the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture, or MoDA, based in Beaufort Park.
